In 1905, Ditesheim renamed his young company Movado – a word meaning “always in motion”, in Esperanto, a language designed to unify the world.
In 1947, Nathan George Horwitt designed the iconic Museum
Dial as an exploration of the concept of time. An adherent of modernist principals, Horwitt took his inspiration from a sundial, with the signature dot
representing the sun at high noon.
In 2010, Movado introduced the Movado BOLD collection—a
line of ultra-contemporary watches that employ innovative materials, unexpected design and new takes on our iconic Museum dial, of which this particular watch is one.
This automatic Red Label Museum dial, first sold in 2014, is in excellent condition showing minimal signs of wear, and comes on it’s original black Alligator strap, and is complete with its original box set, hangtag, Operating Instructions and Warranty Booklet and original sales invoices from the USA.
