Omega Constellation Time Computer TC1
Product code: 11-05-033 / 196.0020
This is the now highly collectible and Increasingly rare OMEGA Time Computer TC1 (Ref. 196.0020). Released in 1972, this was Omega’s first quartz digital LED watch. The watch displays hours minutes and seconds via a single push-button. The ruby coloured mineral glass screen was specifically chosen for it’s filtering properties which help the numbers of the display stand out clearly. Time setting and time-zone adjustment are achieved using a magnetic key (stored inside the bracelet clasp) which acts on two contacts inside the case-back. The quartz calibre 1600 movement is accurate to +/- 5 seconds per month. The rectangular stainless steel case measures a very wearable 40mm x 26mm, and has an 80 micron white-gold plating (gold-filled), as do the lug covers and integrated stainless steel bracelet.
This example is in good condition with no deep scratches, dings or loss of plating, and the Omega graphics on the display clear and intact. The watch comes as a very nice set with its original box and setting magnet. A rare opportunity to own this iconic Omega.
